Shivani, our SRTP summer student, gave her final research presentation this week. We thought her talk was awesome, and it turns out we weren't alone! She went home with the prize for the best talk in her session. Congrats to Shivani!! We're a proud lab family.
Had a great time with the Bondy-Denomy lab at the Giants game versus the Cleveland Indians! It was obvious the Giants won 5-4 because we came through. We love hot dogs and rooting for the underdog.
Our first graduate student! Kristine is a TETRAD student interested in understanding the regulation of bacterial antagonism in mixed species settings. We are very excited to continue working with her.
Shivani is an Amgen scholar visiting us from RIT through the Summer Research Training Program (SRTP). She is our resident peptidoglycan wrangler and will be working on characterizing enzymes involved in bacterial antagonism. We're excited to have her here!
